Beginner English Session |
|
| |
The Beginner English Session is for campers ages 6 to 10 or those who have ridden less than 15 times or have jumped less than a foot. . They begin in the barn learning all the basics of horse grooming, tacking, feeding, anatomy, barn maintenance and how to work as a team with the horses. English lessons are taught with fun and safety in mind. We have 2 outdoor riding rings as well as a 12,000 sq ft indoor arena for them to ride regardless of the weather. All of our instructors are college girls with equine majors; some are former campers and counselors in training. After lessons, the horses are put back in the barn and the tack put away. The whole experience teaches the campers what it would be like to be the sole caretaker of a horse. The cost of this camp is $350 for All Day or $225 for Half Day. |

The Overnight Camp is for girls ages
8 – 17. It runs from Sundays at 4pm to Fridays at 4:30pm following
the Camp Horse Show at 2:30pm. It will be limited to only 9 girls per
week so sign up early. The campers will pick Beginner and Advanced English
and Western for the morning and afternoon rides. After a day with the
horses, evenings are filled with fun activities such as Lual and Country
Western parties, scavenger hunts, face painting, water balloon tosses,
talent shows, karaoke contests just to mention a few and when they need
more horse time then a special trail ride in the evening seems to take
care of things. The girls are in bed by 10pm and up for chores and breakfast
by 7am. There are always 1 or 2 female counselors with the girls at night
in addition to our 2 girls. They sleep in our new bunkhouse named Camp
Chipmunk (there are a lot of Chipmunks up here). The girls have unlimited
access to the new bathhouses if we can just pull them away from the horses.
The cost of these camps is $695. |

OVERNIGHT
COUNTY FAIR Camps |
|
| |
6 Night Tri-Valley Horse Show Camp
(July 20 - 26) |
|
| |
This will be our 2nd time going to this show; however, it is on our stomping grounds, The Delaware County Fairgrounds. The show is on Saturday July 26. This camp is similar to the Otsego Camp (show outfit needed as well) and it will be a great time as always. The cost of this camp is $1095. |

|
| |
6 Night Otsego County Fair Camp
(July 27 - August 2) |
|
| |
This will be our 3rd year at this event and we have
done very well at this competition. This camp is 6 nights long and the
Fair is on Saturday August 2. This camp does not have all of the bells
and whistles that the Delaware has but is just as much fun. We have added
an all expense paid night at the fairgrounds after the competition by
popular demand. A show outfit is required. We will help you with this
order. This is a great starter show for those who have never competed.
The cost of this camp is $1245. |

|
| |
12 Night Delaware County Fair Camp
(August 3-15) |
|
| |
There are 3 Overnight Fair Camps this year for girls
ages 8 – 17. All Fairs require a show uniform. Once you sign up
for a Fair Camp we will let you know what is required. A full new uniform
cost about $140 through State Line Tack. Our biggest and most popular
special event is the 12 night Delaware County Fair Camp (August 3 – 15).
The girls train specifically to compete in the Fair. This camp includes
many extras such as a Stone Tavern Farm T-shirt, an all expense paid
evening of carnival food and rides after the Thursday Fair Show (August
14), a $100 shopping spree at JP North’s Tack shop (you can not
believe how much they like his one) and dinner out at the Overlook Restaurant
with spectacular views overlooking 5 states. The cost of this camp is
$2395. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
All weekday camps participate in the Friday Stone Tavern Classic horse show at 2:30pm. Family and friends are invited to watch their campers show off what they have learned. The show is about an hour or more and is followed by a short party in the Waterside Pavilion. Please remember that that we offer a $50 referral credit for any new campers. |
