Meet our instructors for 2006

The Stone Tavern Farm is pleased to welcome Anna Supp as our Head Riding Instructor and Senior Camp Counselor for 2006. In 2004 and 2005 she served as a riding instructor, managed our weekly horse shows and oversaw the coaching of the students who participated in the Delaware County Fair Open Hunter Show.

Over the four years prior to joining us at the Stone Tavern Farm she worked at Cherry Valley as a swimming instructor (Red Cross levels 1-6) as well as serving in stable management responsible for horse care and riding instruction. Anna served as a 4-H Horse Program Team Leader while at Cherry Valley. She has also worked as a swimming instructor with the Springfield Summer Swim Program in Springfield, NY.

Some of Anna's achievements include:

  • Tri-Valley Horseman's Association Grand Champion Walk-Trot Hunter show.
  • Otsego County Grand Champion Novice Gymkhana, Reserve Champion
  • Appointment to Cazenovia College Varsity Hunt Seat Equestrian Team
  • Had four students place in top ten at the Delaware County Open Hunter Show

She spends her winters as a Ski and Snow board Instructor from beginner to advanced levels at Plattekill Ski Center and holds a PSIA level 1 certification.



Tracey Stonebridge

Also returning for the 2006 summer season is Tracey Stonebridge. A familiar face at the Stone Tavern Farm, Tracey attended our Advanced Horsemanship camp and has volunteered working with the kids and the horses over previous summers. An accomplished soccer player, she played for the Division One Championship team The Bayside Roadrunners.

Tracey is currently the co-captain of the St. Francis Preparatory High school's Equestrian team. She is a part of St. Francis's drug and alcohol prevention team and serves as a peer counselor for the underclassmen. She also volunteers at the Ozanan Hall Nursing home and is the head referee at the Bayside soccer clinic for kids.

Some of Tracey's awards and achievements are:

  • 4th Place in the first show of the Long Island High school League's season at the St. John The Baptist Horse Classic
  • Member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, , Spanish National Honor Society, and the National Science Honor Society
  • Best All-Around player and scholar/athlete awards from school soccer team.

She will be attending Lake Erie College in Ohio starting in the Fall of 2005 where she is planning to major in Equine Facility Management and Equine Teacher/Trainer. Tracey has been recruited as a starting player on the soccer team , and as a member of the English Riding team.


 

Also returning in 2006 is Derek Prill. Derek prefers the Western Style of riding and can show the kids the difference between Western and English riding.
